WE WENT TO ALL THE TROUBLE OF HIDING, AND YOU'RE BEING LOUD...! THERE'S NO ONE AROUND ANYWAY. NO NEED TO BE SO TENSE ALREADY. YOUR MAJESTY, AREN'T YOU NERVOUS? WELL, YEAH. A LITTLE. HAH... I'VE TRULY NEVER HEARD OF, LET ALONE SEEN, SUCH A RECKLESS PLAN. AH, THE GRAND MARSHAL SAID THE SAME THING. DO YOU REALLY THINK THE DUKE WILL SHOW UP? WE'LL SEE IF WE WAIT. IT'S ONLY THREE O'CLOCK, SO LET'S RELAX FOR NOW. YOU MIGHT AS WELL ADMIT YOU WANT TO TOUCH IT. WAS IT THAT OBVIOUS? IT'S MY FIRST TIME SEEING A COOLANT STONE. YOU'VE BEEN STARING AT IT NONSTOP. IT WON'T COOL BELOW NORMAL BODY TEMPERATURE, SO FEEL FREE TO LOOK. WITHOUT IT, DO YOU REALLY COLLAPSE FROM HEATSTROKE? THE CENTRAL REGION'S WEATHER IS UNBEARABLE FOR THE LAFI. I HEARD THEY'RE SO EXPENSIVE IT'S AN INSULT TO COMPARE THEM TO DIAMONDS. IT'S IMPRESSIVE YOU MANAGE TO KEEP A LAFI LEGION AT ALL. EVEN IF YOU CALL US THE LAFI, THERE ARE ONLY TWELVE OF US, COUNTING ME. AND HONESTLY, IT'D BE HARD TO GATHER LAFI TROOPS NO MATTER HOW MANY COOLANT STONES YOU HAD. I SUPPOSE SO. NO ONE WOULD TRUST THEIR LIFE TO A PEA-SIZED STONE. TRUE, TRUE. THAT'S WHAT MAKES ME WONDER. WHISS, WHY ARE YOU HERE? A LAFI WHO VALUES FREEDOM, AND THE SON OF THE CHIEF AT THAT, WHAT COULD BRING YOU HERE? YOU COULD'VE LIVED IN COMFORT IF YOU'D STAYED IN POMNOS, NO? THERE AREN'T MANY LAFI WHO CHASE WEALTH AND FAME... ...AND IT'S NOT REALLY AN IMPORTANT STORY. NO, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT. TELL ME. YOUR MAJESTY! FOUR THOUSAND HEADING TO COMMAND HEADQUARTERS, ANOTHER FOUR THOUSAND TO THE ROYAL PALACE, A TOTAL OF EIGHT THOUSAND TROOPS ARE ON THE MOVE. THEIR NUMBERS AND DIRECTION ARE EXACTLY AS YOU PREDICTED, YOUR MAJESTY! I'll have to hear it another time. IS THE ROAD TO THE ROYAL PALACE CLEAR? YES. THE CIVILIANS HAVE ALL BEEN EVACUATED. GOOD. AS PLANNED, WE'LL LURE THE ENEMY INTO THE PALACE. GOEDEL KILL MAY BE CLEVER, BUT HE'S NOWHERE NEAR MY LEVEL. I'M A GENIUS,WE WON'T LOSE. SO... ZEN. GO WILD. YES, YOUR MAJESTY. COME OUT, YOU BASTARDS. IT'S OUR TIME NOW. FIGHT LIKE YOUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT. FOR EVERY ENEMY YOU KILL, YOU GET A SERVING OF LAMB RIBS! A PORT NEAR THE CAPITAL CITY YOUR EXCELLENCY, ARE YOU ALRIGHT! Just a bit Dizzy... I'M FINE. DON'T MAKE A SCENE. THE ADVANCE SQUAD SHOULD ALREADY BE ATTACKING COMMAND HEADQUARTERS. THE PLAN'S GOING SMOOTHLY. ALL FORCES, ADVANCE! WE MUST REACH THE ROYAL PALACE BEFORE SUNRISE. YES, SIR! WE'LL ESCORT YOU, YOUR EXCELLENCY. VICTORY AND DEFEAT IN WAR HOW WELL YOU'VE PREPARED BEHIND THE SCENES. I DELIBERATELY LET THE LAFI SCOUTS SEE TWO THOUSAND OF MY MEN. THAT WOMAN PROBABLY THINKS SHE CAN STOP ME WITH JUST THE CAPITAL'S ARMY. NOT A CHANCE. ONCE WE'RE INSIDE THE PALACE, BURN THE ILLUSION HERBS AND PUT THE LYCANS TO SLEEP. BUT THEN OUR OWN LYCANS WILL... WE BARELY HAVE ANY ON OUR SIDE ANYWAY. UNDERSTOOD, YOUR EXCELLENCY... IF I JUST GET INTO THE PALACE AND CAPTURE THAT WOMAN, THIS WAR IS OVER! DAMN IT! IT'S ILLUSION HERBS! RUN! RUN!! RUN! Get them!! DAMN IT, EVERYONE INSIDE! WE HAVE TO PROTECT HIS MAJESTY! Battalion Commander, what do we do now? Are we... JUST THAT GOOD AT ACTING? YOU'RE GOING TO GO BROKE BUYING ALL THOSE LAMB RIBS, YOU KNOW? QUIET! STOP THE USELESS CHATTER AND GO GATHER MORE! eees~ Run! Retreat as far as you can! Damn illusion herbs. COVERING THEIR NOSES WON’T LAST LONG. TEN MINUTES, AT BEST. I’LL END THIS BEFORE THEN. YOU FILTHY LYCANS, DIE... OOPS, MY MISTAKE. AH... WHAT SHOULD I DO...? ## See also - [WebtoonLib — Dawn of Vengeance #13](/series/dawn-of-vengeance-b4u1jnn6/chapter-13-wufw2c) - for_series_detail: /llms-series/dawn-of-vengeance-b4u1jnn6 ## Usage AI grounding / search / summarization.
