THE DAY MAY COME WHEN I FACE DEFEAT AS WELL, BUT IT IS NOT TODAY. I WILL USE EVERY MEANS AT MY DISPOSAL TO CRUSH ANYONE WHO DARES TO DECEIVE YOU, LUCY. ARE YOU, BY ANY CHANCE... ANGRY AT CROWN PRINCE ALEJANDRO? NO LOYAL VASSAL WOULD REMAIN CALM WHEN THEIR LIEGE IS INSULTED. YOU REALLY ARE FURIOUS. I'VE NEVER SEEN YOU THIS DISPLEASED BEFORE. ...I AM NOT THAT ANGRY. YOU'RE NOT? YOUR EYES ARE SLANTED THIIIS FAR UP. IS IT THAT OBVIOUS? RATHER THAN LOSING YOUR COUNTRY AND BEING CAST OUT AS A RUINED ROYAL, WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER TO BECOME THE EMPRESS OF THE EMPIRE? THAT WAS NO PROPOSAL I WOULD LIKE YOU TO ACCEPT MY PROPOSAL. IT WAS A BLATANT THREAT. AND... LUCY, MAY I HAVE YOUR HAND? ? MY HAND? WHAT IS IT? IS THERE SOMETHING ON THE BACK OF MY HAND? ...IT IS NOTHING. What is it? What is it?? Why so secretive? 5 DAYS LATER THE CORONATION HAS CONCLUDED. WE SHALL MEET AGAIN, YOUR MAJESTY. MAY YOU BE IN GOOD HEALTH. MAY GOD'S BLESSINGS BE WITH YOU IN THE DAYS TO COME... SAFE TRAVELS TO YOU ALL. YOU LOOK SO THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED. I FEEL AS THOUGH I'VE BECOME A MERE INSECT. YOU THINK SO? DO NOT BE SO DISRESPECTFUL TO THE INSECTS. Y-YOUR MAJESTY? SINCE WE HAVE AN AUDIENCE, I WILL REFRAIN FROM USING HARSH WORDS WITH YOU. SHE ALREADY DID. I ONLY PRAY WE NEVER CROSS PATHS AGAIN IN THIS LIFETIME. YOUR MAJESTY. I WILL ASK YOU ONE LAST TIME. MY OFFER STILL STANDS. ARE YOU TRULY GOING TO REJECT MY PROPOSAL? YOU MAY TAKE MORE TIME TO CONSIDER IT. I SHALL WAIT... NO NEED. I ALREADY TOLD YOU. I HAVE NO INTEREST IN A MAN AS UGLY AS YOU. WHAT A SHAME. I HAD HOPED TO TAKE SOMEONE AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOUR MAJESTY FOR MY COMPANION. IT IS THE LAND I POSSESS THAT YOU FIND BEAUTIFUL. I WILL NOT DENY THAT, BUT MY PRAISE FOR YOUR BEAUTY IS ENTIRELY SINCERE. WHAT A JOKE. FOR SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST INTEREST IN WOMEN, YOU CERTAINLY SPOUT AMUSING NONSENSE. ...I FELT THIS DURING OUR FIRST MEETING AS WELL, BUT YOUR MAJESTY SPEAKS AS IF YOU KNOW ME INTIMATELY. IF YOU CONTINUE LIKE THIS, I MIGHT MISUNDERSTAND AND THINK YOU ARE ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN ME. What is this bastard saying.. YOU SAID YOU NEVER WANTED TO SEE ME AGAIN, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, YOUR MAJESTY'S WISH WILL NOT COME TRUE. I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT OUR NEXT ENCOUNTER... WILL FIND SWEETER WORDS SPILLING FROM THOSE LIPS. WE MUST PURIFY THE SPACE LEFT BEHIND BY THAT UNINVITED GUEST. BRING A PRIEST AT ONCE. PARDON? RIGHT AWAY! IT WOULD BE A LIE TO SAY I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE. THE DAY MAY COME WHEN I FACE DEFEAT AS WELL, BUT IT IS NOT TODAY. HE'S RIGHT, WAR ISN'T JUST ABOUT NUMBERS. THERE ARE COUNTLESS WAYS TO SUBDUE AN ENEMY... I HAVE TO WIN. I HAVE TO ENSURE WE CAN WIN. THAT'S WHY I RETURNED, AFTER ALL. DEEP WITHIN THE ROYAL PALACE'S UNDERGROUND VAULT FOUND IT. ...IT'S BEEN A WHILE. THE DAGGER OF OHN. ## See also - [WebtoonLib — Dawn of Vengeance #43](/series/dawn-of-vengeance-b4u1jnn6/chapter-43-64aydn) - for_series_detail: /llms-series/dawn-of-vengeance-b4u1jnn6 ## Usage AI grounding / search / summarization.
