Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)! Anime Premieres in July: New Voice Actor Announced

The countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated productions in the anime world, Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)! (Heroine? Seijo? Iie, All-Works Maid desu (Hokori)!). According to the latest official announcement, the series will premiere in Japan in July 2026. In addition to this exciting news, it was announced that one of the anime world's most beloved voices, Yōko Hikasa, has joined the cast as the character Anna-Marire (Annemarie Victirium). Hikasa previously captured fans' hearts with her performances in major productions such as K-ON! and High School DxD.
The story of the series is based on a very unique premise that blends fantasy and comedy. Our protagonist, who was once a Japanese girl and has been reincarnated in her new life as Melody, has only one dream: to become the world's best maid! However, there is something Melody doesn't know; she is actually the most powerful character in the otome game world she inhabits, the "Saint" and the true heroine. Melody uses her immense magical powers solely for dusting, cooking, or repairing dilapidated mansions, leaving those around her bewildered, all while remaining completely oblivious to the romantic and epic roles fate has cast for her, focusing solely on her work.
The technical team behind the production is also quite ambitious. Produced by EMT Squared studio, the anime is directed by Naoya Murakawa, with Shinji Ishihira serving as chief director. Character designs are entrusted to Eri Tokugawa, and the music to Ken Ito. The lead roles will be voiced by Yume Miyamoto as Melody, Rumi Okubo as Luciana, and Kohei Amasaki as Christopher von Theorus. The series first began as a web novel published by Atekichi in 2017, before being adapted into a light novel format with illustrations by Yukiko and a manga adaptation written by Keiko.
Expected to be one of the most entertaining "isekai" and "slice-of-life" productions of the summer season starting in July, the anime will be available to watch worldwide via Crunchyroll. If you are tired of "chosen one" clichés and want to watch the adventures of an overpowered but equally naive character who is just trying to do her job to the best of her ability, you should definitely add this anime to your list. We can't wait to see how Melody will change the world (even if unintentionally) with her flawless maid skills!
