Osomatsu-san Crowns Its 10th Anniversary with a Special Program: "It's Okay to Be Flawed!"

One of the most beloved and absurd productions in the anime world, Osomatsu-san, continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary with great enthusiasm. The latest development exciting fans of the series is a special television program scheduled to air on the TV Tokyo network on May 30, 2026. Titled "Revealing the Beloved Secrets! It's Okay to Be Flawed (Kuzu)!" (Aisareru Himitsu o Daikōkai! Kuzu de Ii no da!), this special broadcast will take an in-depth look at the Matsuno brothers' ten-year journey on screen and why they are so widely loved.
The concept of the program has been designed in a highly entertaining way, fitting the spirit of the series. The broadcast will feature guests known in Japan as "kuzu geinin" (bum/flawed comedians) such as Ranjatai, Kakarony, and Takashi Sakai. These comedians will interpret the adventures of the sextuplets—who are still unemployed and living with their parents (NEET) despite being in their 20s—from their own perspectives. Hosted by Kun Arimura and Honoka Hashida, the program will revisit the series' funniest, most emotional, and most fan-favorite episodes.
The roots of Osomatsu-san actually go much further back, to legendary manga artist Fujio Akatsuka's 1962 series Osomatsu-kun. However, the modern reboot launched by Studio Pierrot in 2015 in honor of Akatsuka's 80th birthday turned into an unexpected social phenomenon by depicting the characters as adults. The series, which gained immense popularity especially among female fans, features some of Japan's most famous voice actors, including Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, and Hiroshi Kamiya.
