Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace Anime Adaptation Coming in July: First Trailer and Cast Details Shared

The popular romantic fantasy series Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace (known in Japanese as Migawari Reijō o Sukutta no wa Reikoku Mujihi na Kōri no Ōji no Ai Deshita) is coming to television screens in a "light anime" format. The first promotional video for the production, which will begin airing in July 2026, has been shared. Along with this video, the voice actors who will bring the series' main characters to life and the names behind the project have been clarified.
The series stars two familiar names from the anime world. Miku Itō, who won hearts as Miku in The Quintessential Quintuplets, will voice the unfortunate but strong character Katrina. She will be joined by Yōhei Azakami, who received great acclaim for his role as Guel Jeturk in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, in the role of the "Ice Prince" Clarence. The director's chair is occupied by Yūsuke Morishita, whom we know from the I Want to Live a Long Life to Dote on My Favorite Stepbrother project. The animation process is being carried out by IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio, in collaboration with StainLab.
One of the most striking aspects of this project is its "light anime" format. This term, introduced to the industry by Dai Nippon Printing in 2022, refers to a faster and lower-cost production method compared to traditional animation processes. These productions, which are generally prepared by animating manga panels or using a simpler animation style, have recently become a popular alternative for viewers who want to focus on the story. Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace aims to reflect the romantic atmosphere to the audience by using the aesthetic possibilities of this format.
