The games acquired by Atari include the 1981 legendary Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord, as well as Knight of Diamonds, Legacy of Llylgamyn, Return of Werdna, and Heart of the Maelstrom. The company plans to expand the digital and physical distribution of these classics and prepare new remaster projects and collections. In fact, Atari CEO Wade Rosen stated that these games have been inaccessible for over two decades and expressed his excitement about bringing them to modern platforms.

When some sources claimed that Atari had purchased the entire Wizardry brand, the Japanese company Drecom, which has managed the brand's rights since 2020, stepped in.
