Hiroyuki Kobayashi's New Studio GPTrack50 Announces Action Game 'Stupid Never Dies'

One of the legendary figures of the Japanese gaming world, Hiroyuki Kobayashi's new studio GPTrack50 is stepping onto the stage with its first project, “Stupid Never Dies”. According to Anime News Network, this action title is being developed for PS5 and PC platforms and is planned to meet players in autumn 2026.
Throughout his long career at Capcom, Kobayashi made a name for himself by producing series such as Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, and Dragon's Dogma. Leaving Capcom in 2023, Kobayashi embarked on a journey to bring new breath to the gaming world by founding his independent studio GPTrack50. “Stupid Never Dies” will be the first fruit of this independent vision.
Although details of the game are still limited, its name hints at an atmosphere full of action and humor. The fast-paced combat mechanics and creative enemy designs from Kobayashi's past productions may also appear in this new game. In an announcement from GPTrack50's official channels, it is stated that the game will be about “the adventure of a hero who constantly dies and is reborn in an absurd universe” – though this information awaits confirmation.
Being Kobayashi's first independent project after Capcom, “Stupid Never Dies” is a matter of great curiosity for both old fans and new players. As autumn approaches, we expect to see more gameplay videos, story details, and perhaps a release date. If you are looking for the excitement of old games bearing Kobayashi's signature, it would be beneficial to add this title to your follow list.
