Chapter Summary

Hey there, fellow fans! The latest comments for Blue Lock, specifically Volume 11 Chapter 90, are absolutely buzzing with a mix of excitement and hilarious disbelief!

Readers are feeling incredibly hyped, sensing that "a whole lot of shit is about to happen" and are "so f*cking excited" for what's next. But let's be real, the chapter delivered some truly iconic lines that had everyone talking. Remember that moment someone dropped the word "Saucy"? Yeah, readers loved that particular "British moment fr fr!"

However, the real show-stopper was undoubtedly the "Pikachu" rival claim, leaving many readers asking, "Your rival is Pikachu, really? 💀 Bro better be joking!" 😂 And of course, the "beard dude's" rather… audacious comment about women in kimonos had everyone in stitches and scratching their heads, with some even clarifying that he's actually in his mid-20s, not a high schooler! 😉

Amidst all the laughs and wild anticipation, there's a good reminder to not get too "cocky"—the five pros haven't even unleashed their full power yet! It seems everyone's ready for the next level of intensity in Blue Lock!

Chapter Analysis: Blue Lock — Chapter 90

Chapter AnalysisBlue Lock — Chapter 90
Blue Lock Chapter 90 shifts the intensity from internal rivalry to a global reality check, and it does so with a swagger that has the fandom buzzing for good reason. After the brutal emotional fallout of the Second Selection matches, Isagi and the remaining strikers are forced to look outward. Ego's grand design was never just about beating each other, and this chapter makes that painfully clear by throwing an entirely new level of talent in their faces. The core of the chapter is character introduction as development. We meet the Team World 5, a group of international players who carry themselves with a completely different aura from the Blue Lock boys. Where Isagi, Rin, Shidou and the others have been cultivating ego in a closed environment, these outsiders already live on the world stage. Their confidence feels lived-in, almost casual, which is exactly what makes it so humiliating for our protagonists. Isagi in particular is put in his place. His spatial awareness and devouring philosophy, which just evolved through his losses to Rin and Karasu, suddenly looks small and theoretical against players who embody physicality, technique, and mentality at a professional standard. Emotionally, the chapter thrives on a mix of hype and humiliation. There is genuine comedy in the culture clash, from the slick British showmanship to the bizarre, overconfident rival claims and the older player's laid-back womanizing energy, but underneath the laughs is dread. The gap is real. Rin is the only one who seems able to even breathe at that level, which further isolates Isagi and reinforces his underdog status heading into the next trial. Artistically, Nomura delivers some of his most expressive character acting yet. The World 5 are drawn taller, sharper, and looser, their body language screaming superiority without needing a ball at their feet. The paneling lingers on smirks, stares, and posturing, letting personality do the work that action did in previous chapters. It is a bold breather chapter that does not score a goal but completely moves the goalposts, reminding everyone that Blue Lock was never the finish line, just the well they have to escape.
