Checkmate — Chapter 103

Whew, buckle up for the reader reaction to Checkmate 〘R〙 Chapter 99! It seems everyone was hitting that "next chapter" button at lightning speed because this one had hearts absolutely *racing*.

The biggest buzz? The long-awaited realization! Readers are ecstatic that Soohyun is finally understanding the true nature of his feelings – maybe it wasn't just obsession after all, but the L-word. It only took 99 chapters (and perhaps 10 fictional years!), but hey, better late than never! 😂

The chess scene was a major talking point, sparking discussions and even a friendly debate among chess players about the technicalities. But the overwhelming consensus is the emotional weight: Eunsung's move felt like a symbolic surrender or an invitation for Soohyun to make the final move. As one reader put it, "eat me papi" 😂. It beautifully mirrored their relationship dynamics, leading to those sweet, reflective moments.

Of course, with such a significant breakthrough, the impatience is *palpable*! The comment section is filled with cries of "JUST ADMIT IT!", "Get together already!", and "Where are the fluffy/lovey-dovey scenes?!". Everyone is desperate to see these two finally confess and get that much-deserved happy ending.

There's also a bittersweet note as many realize the series might be wrapping up soon. While happy with the plot progression, the thought of Checkmate 〘R〙 ending is bringing on the feels 🥺. Overall, Chapter 99 was a huge emotional payoff, leaving readers satisfied yet eagerly anticipating what's next (read: confessions and kisses, PLEASE!).
