Dialogue TranscriptClover Days — Chapter 050

NOW, I PROMISE YOU.

IF EUN-SEO LISTENS WELL TO YOUR UNCLE,

MOM WILL COME PICK YOU UP SOON.

...WHEN ARE YOU COMING?

YOU REMEMBER THE CLOVER HILL WHERE WE PLAYED LAST TIME?

WHEN YOU FIND A FOUR-LEAF CLOVER THERE,

I’LL COME GET YOU THEN.

OKAY?

MANAGER BAEK. I'M SORRY, BUT

COULD YOU GO ON AN URGENT BUSINESS TRIP?

IT'S ABOUT THE ECO-FRIENDLY RESORT PROJECT THE DIRECTOR MENTIONED BEFORE.

WE NEED TO SECURE THE LAND QUICKLY FIRST.

THIS IS THE CHAIRMAN'S LONG-CHERISHED PROJECT, AFTER ALL.

IT SEEMS THE DIRECTOR GOT CALLED IN THIS TIME AND GOT AN EARFUL ABOUT THE SLOW PROGRESS.

I'VE ALREADY SPOKEN TO TEAM LEADER KIM,

SO YOU BOTH SHOULD GO TOGETHER.

YES, UNDERSTOOD.

EXCUSE ME.

I'D LIKE TO ASK YOU SOMETHING.

SIR?

WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE?

WE ARE TEAM LEADER KIM DO-UN AND MANAGER BAEK EUN-SEO FROM JAIM INVESTMENT.

OUR SIDE SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED THE VILLAGE HEAD IN ADVANCE A WHILE AGO.

IS THE VILLAGE HEAD CURRENTLY OUT?

I AM THE HEAD OF THIS VILLAGE,

CHU SEONG-HO.

THIS IS THE LAND YOU MENTIONED.

IT'S FASCINATING.

THERE WAS A SIMILAR PLACE IN MY HOMETOWN, YOU SEE.

COVERED IN CLOVERS JUST LIKE THIS...

TO THINK I'D SEE SUCH SCENERY IN WINTER, NO LESS...

THEY MAY LOOK FRAGILE, BUT THEY WITHSTAND THE COLD WELL AND ARE GOOD FOR THE SOIL.

YOU CAN COME ANYTIME IF YOU WANT TO SEE THEM.

THEY'RE EVEN MORE SPECTACULAR WHEN SPRING ARRIVES.

IN MY EVERYDAY LIFE THAT ALWAYS FELT LIKE WINTER,

AT THIS RATE, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE SNOW WILL STOP ANYTIME SOON.

HE CAME TO ME.

COULD YOU GIVE ME YOUR HAND?

IN THOSE EYES THAT DON'T HIDE THEIR EMOTIONS,

WHEN YOUR BODY IS COLD, SHARING BODY HEAT IS THE WARMEST THING.

THE BOUNDARIES BLUR

AND DREAMS BECOME INDISTIN- GUISHABLE FROM REALITY.

AS OUR WARMTH INTERTWINES,

AH

HAA

...NOW,

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

BEFORE I KNEW IT,

...RIGHT HERE.

WE BECAME THE SAME TEMPERATURE

Chapter Summary

Clover Days Chapter 0 follows Baek Eun-seo as a childhood promise about a four-leaf clover collides with an urgent work assignment. As a child she is told by her mother to listen to her uncle and wait until she finds a four-leaf clover on the clover hill, then she will be picked up. Years later as Manager Baek Eun-seo of Jaim Investment, she is ordered to go on an urgent trip for the eco-friendly resort project to secure land quickly. With Team Leader Kim Do-un she visits the village and meets village head Chu Seong-ho, sees the winter-green clover field that recalls her hometown, and shares warming physical intimacy with him in the cold.

Chapter AnalysisClover Days — Chapter 0

Clover Days Chapter 0 opens with a childhood memory that defines Baek Eun-seo's waiting, as her mother promises to come pick her up if she listens well to her uncle and finds a four-leaf clover on the clover hill where they played. The dialogue makes the condition explicit, linking being picked up to finding the clover, and leaves Eun-seo asking when her mother is coming without an answer in the supplied lines. Years later, Manager Baek Eun-seo of Jaim Investment is ordered onto an urgent business trip for the eco-friendly resort project to secure land quickly. The request is framed as the chairman's long-cherished project with pressure from the director over slow progress, and she is paired with Team Leader Kim Do-un. Clover Days Chapter 0 then moves that work assignment into the field, where Eun-seo and Do-un introduce themselves and learn the village head they came to meet is Chu Seong-ho himself. On the land in question, Eun-seo notes the winter clover field reminds her of a similar place in her hometown, while Seong-ho explains the clovers withstand the cold well, are good for the soil, and are more spectacular in spring. That exchange turns personal when cold leads to shared body heat and physical intimacy, described as boundaries blurring and their warmth intertwining until they become the same temperature. Clover Days Chapter 0 ends that encounter on uncertainty, with Eun-seo wondering what she should do now, tying her immediate choice in the village back to the unresolved childhood promise to wait.
