Charles wakes up in his room three days after fainting, thirsty and weak, and meets Lou. Lou says he has been by his side since returning from the Marquis's mansion and teases him about talking in his sleep. Amid Mardi's tears and the rush for the doctor, Charles learns that the scars on his body have been seen. Lou openly confesses his feelings for him, and then in the newspapers he left behind, he finds himself hailed as a hero once again.
