This chapter explains that the Holy Relic is a divine heirloom bestowed upon the First Pope, which was stolen by the Empire during the past war. As two agents discuss the relic's existence and how to recognize it, they stop for a picnic by the lake. There they encounter Cecil Roosevelt, Lou, and the nannies. When the scream of Cecil's six-year-old nephew Theo is heard from the crocodile farm, one of the agents enters the fence unarmed and rescues the child.
