The King dismisses the Minister of Finance over the falsified ledgers. Diana and 11-year-old Prince Cassion appear before him and confess to yesterday's banquet trick. Cassion asks for permission to marry 13-year-old Diana. The King finds them too young and demands trust and assurance. When Diana promises to present proof, the King gives her a chance. On their way out, Prince Deyson invites Diana for tea; Cassion jealously intervenes.
