[Aleksander]: Fwaah...
[Aleksander]: Hm?
[Emma]: Oh, really?
[Aleksander]: A con- stellation!
[Aleksander]: Lookie here...
I could draw constellations all day.
[Aleksander]: And what's the name of that constellation?
[Emma]: "Me".
[Aleksander]: I can sign it, now.
[Aleksander]: That means I discovered a constellation, so...
[Aleksander]: Ah...
[Emma]: ...You'll write your name?
[Emma]: On me?
Constellation waiting to be named
[Aleksander]: You have beauty marks on your legs.
[Aleksander]: Did you know that?
[Emma]: Where?
[Aleksander]: Here.
[Aleksander]: There.
[Aleksander]: And right there.
[Emma]: My god, that's terrible!
[Emma]: Can you hand me my make-up?
[Emma]: The eyeliner...
[Aleksander]: Where is it?
[Emma]: Thank you.
[Emma]: Right next to you.
[Emma]: Oh...
[Emma]: You mean to say...
[Emma]: Oh, you!
[Emma]: Uhfufu~!
[Aleksander]: Well? "Oh, me" what?
[Aleksander]: "You" what?
[Aleksander]: "You" that?
[Emma]: Fufu...
[Emma]: Fufu...
[Emma]: Ah?!
[Aleksander]: Come on, don't stay like that.
[Aleksander]: We don't want your legs to catch a cold now, do we?
His monologue.
She likes to lay her hands on things that may move. If I'm seated on the sofa, she'll put her legs upon my knees, without an ounce of embarrassment. Out of fear, I'll run away, perhaps. If I'm reading a book, she'll place her hand right on it as I'm about to flip a page. The other day, she laid her hand on my stomach. When I asked if her hand was a stethoscope, after a grimace, since it's a doctor's expression, she said: "Yes. With this, I can see your breath..." The tip of her fingers must possess a particular awareness, to feel whenever they go up or down, I suppose.
Aleksander notices the moles on Emma's legs and compares them to a constellation. This discovery leads to a playful and sincere dialogue between them. The chapter ends with Aleksander's inner thoughts about Emma's physical proximity and her relaxed attitude toward him.
