New Visual from Ace of Diamond actII Season 2: Sawamura and Amahisa Face Off on the Road to Koshien!

The tension on the baseball field is higher than ever! As the second season of the Ace of Diamond actII (Daiya no A actII) anime, adapted from Yuji Terajima's legendary manga series, continues at full speed, a brand-new visual that has excited fans has been shared. This new illustration brings the series' protagonist Eijun Sawamura face-to-face with Ichidai Sanko High School's genius pitcher Kosei Amahisa. This visual represents the big match that will take place in the West Tokyo Tournament semifinals, where the winner will get one step closer to their Koshien dreams.
Premiering on April 5, 2026, this new season arrived after a long six-year wait for fans of the series. With this season, there was a significant change in the production chair; instead of Madhouse and Production I.G, who prepared the previous seasons, the animation is now being handled by studio OLM. Hideaki Oba sits in the director's chair, while the series' music once again bears the signature of Hajime Hyakkoku. Despite the studio change, the high tempo and visual quality maintained from the first episodes have managed to receive full marks from fans.
The Ace of Diamond series has a massive 16-year manga history that began in 2006 and concluded with the actII story in 2022. Telling the story of Sawamura's development from a talented but inexperienced pitcher to becoming the ace of Seido High School, the series is known for its strategic depth among sports anime. The rivalry between Seido and Ichidai Sanko, which is being processed especially this season, is seen not only as a baseball match but also as a battle of honor between two different game philosophies and two ambitious pitchers. This clash between Amahisa's unshakable self-confidence and Sawamura's newly developed pitches is a candidate to be one of the season's highest points.
The anime, which continues to be broadcast weekly, is meeting international audiences via Crunchyroll. Expected to consist of 13 episodes in total, this season brings one of the most critical turning points of the story to the screens. If you are looking for a sports story full of strategy, friendship, and competition, we recommend you not to miss this critical turn in Sawamura's Koshien journey. Let's see if Seido can take down their arch-rival and reach their dreams?
