A Giant Collaboration for the 29th Detective Conan Film: The Streets of Yokohama and Hakone on the Trail of the "Fallen Angel"!

The legendary detective returns! As the highly anticipated 29th feature film of the Detective Conan (Case Closed) series, Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway (Highway no Datenshi), prepares to hit theaters in Japan on April 10, 2026, a massive celebration event has begun in Kanagawa Prefecture, where the film is set. This collaboration project, covering the Yokohama and Hakone regions, offers fans the chance to experience the story's locations firsthand. Throughout the city, exclusive illustrations signed by the original creator Gosho Aoyama are on display, and the streets have effectively transformed into a film set.
In the Minato Mirai district, considered the heart of Yokohama, the escalators of Queen's Square Yokohama have been decorated with character illustrations. The Yokohama Marine Tower, one of the city's landmarks, serves as the epicenter of this collaboration. The tower hosts special commemorative coins, photo spots, and film-exclusive lighting shows for fans. Additionally, visitors who complete the stamp rally placed at 10 different locations across the city are awarded limited-edition gifts exclusive to Yokohama. These events aim to bring the film's atmosphere into the real world, providing fans with an unforgettable experience.
In Hakone, another stop on the adventure, a more interactive experience awaits fans. Massive decorations featuring Conan Edogawa and his friends have been set up at the Anest Iwata Turnpike Hakone and surrounding municipalities. Through the six-stage "layered stamp" event held here, fans can visit different stops to eventually assemble a complete illustration of Conan. Known in Japan as "anime pilgrimage" (seichi junrei), these types of events both increase the series' popularity and make a significant contribution to regional tourism.
The new film follows an action-packed story revolving around a mysterious black motorcycle (Lucifer) that appears at the Kanagawa Motorcycle Festival. In this production, where Chihaya Hagiwara, an inspector from the Kanagawa Prefectural Police nicknamed the "Goddess of the Wind," plays a key role, famous actor Ryusei Yokohama has also joined the cast as a guest voice actor. The Detective Conan series, which has been running since 1994 and breaking box office records every year, made history in Japanese cinema with its latest film, The Million-dollar Pentagram, by surpassing the 15 billion yen mark. With the 29th film, it is expected that this success will be pushed even further, marking a spectacular entry into the series' 30th anniversary.
