The Worlds of LEGO and One Piece Collide: A Two-Part Special Animation Is Coming to Netflix

Netflix has announced a surprise collaboration as part of a massive expansion pack that will excite One Piece fans. The world-famous toy brand LEGO and the legendary pirate series are coming together for a two-part special animation project. Titled LEGO One Piece, this special production will meet viewers on the Netflix platform simultaneously worldwide on September 29, 2026.
This new project is based on the character designs and atmosphere of Netflix's highly successful One Piece live-action series. The story will be told through the eyes of Usopp, the sharpshooter and master storyteller of the Straw Hat Pirates. In the trailer, we see Usopp (voiced by Jacob Romero Gibson from the live-action series) recounting his adventures in the East Blue and his entry into the Grand Line to the crew's newest and cutest member, Tony Tony Chopper, in his own exaggerated style. This two-part special series will reinterpret the events of the first two seasons of the series with LEGO's humorous and creative language.
There is a very strong team behind the project. The animation work is being carried out by the Atomic Cartoons studio, known for productions such as Hilda and The Last Kids on Earth. It is produced by The LEGO Group, Shueisha, and Tomorrow Studios, the team behind the live-action series. The transformation of this massive universe created by Eiichiro Oda into LEGO form is not limited to just an animation; the Gum-Gum Fruit replica and new playsets, which will go on sale on August 1, also bring this collaboration into the physical world.
This announcement is just one part of Netflix's strategy to expand the One Piece universe. The platform also confirmed that the title of the live-action series' 3rd season will be One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta and announced that it will be released in 2027. Additionally, The One Piece anime remake, prepared by WIT Studio, is also on the way. The LEGO special episodes will offer both a fun entry point for those new to the series and an opportunity for veteran pirates to see their favorite scenes in a world built with blocks.
