Sakura Kurihara's Beloved Yuri Manga Let Me Fix You Gets Short Anime Adaptation

Exciting news for fans of the yuri genre! Mangaka Sakura Kurihara's highly acclaimed work Let Me Fix You (known in Japanese as Kimi o Tsumugu) is getting a short anime adaptation. According to the official announcement, this new project will begin streaming on YouTube for global audiences in late May 2026. The announcement was shared on social media by the series creator Kurihara and the project supporters Dokico and Buta Productions.
Let Me Fix You blends a melancholic and dark atmosphere with deep affection, unlike typical romantic stories. The story centers on the bond between Tsumugi, a quiet tailor skilled at mending tears in a world where everything is falling apart, and Chise, a "zombie" girl who is not quite alive but not entirely gone. As Tsumugi repairs Chise's physical form with careful stitches, an emotional relationship blossoms between the two that transcends the boundaries between the living and the living dead.
Looking at the series' history, we see that Let Me Fix You is truly a success story. Originally released as a dōjin (independent) work at Comiket 99 in December 2021, the manga quickly gained great popularity. Later officially published by No.9, the work proved its massive global fanbase when a Kickstarter campaign launched by BluPetal in recent months to bring the series to English-speaking audiences exceeded its funding goal within hours.
The technical staff for the anime adaptation consists of quite notable names. Ani is handling the direction and character designs, while the animation production is being led by Federico Antonio “FAR” Russo. The art direction features names like Kam' kamon, with Xaryen in charge of photography. Although the voice cast has not yet been announced, this short anime format is considered an important step in reflecting the series' atmosphere and introducing the manga to wider audiences. Fans are eagerly awaiting the first episodes to be released on YouTube at the end of May.
