Anime and Cosplay Expo 2026 Returns to Manila in July

One of the largest anime and cosplay gatherings in the Philippines, Anime and Cosplay Expo 2026, is officially returning to Manila. According to Anime Corner, the event will take place this July and span three days. Although the exact venue and full schedule have not yet been announced, previous editions of the event are known to have been held at the SMX Convention Center.
The Expo is not just a trade fair; it is also a massive stage for cosplay enthusiasts. Attendees will be able to participate in competitions dressed as famous characters and meet leading figures in the industry during special talks. In the 2025 event, competitions such as Binibining Cosplay Philippines drew significant attention, welcoming over 10,000 visitors. 2026 is expected to be just as crowded and exciting.
Organizers have announced that this year's expo will feature a dedicated area for Japanese culture, booths selling rare collectibles, and showcases for new anime/manga projects. Additionally, separate sections are being planned for the rapidly growing fan bases of manhwa and Chinese animation in the Philippines. As the demand for anime continues to rise, particularly in the Southeast Asian market, such events are becoming important showcases for both local and international publishers.
The exact dates, ticket sales, and guest list for the event will be announced in the coming weeks. Seen as the biggest gathering of the year for anime fans in the Philippines, the Anime and Cosplay Expo also contributes to connecting the local cosplay community and discovering new talent. All eyes are now on July; the excitement is at its peak.
