Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea’s Release Date Delayed: October 15, 2026

According to Anime News Network, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea will make its fans wait a little longer. The release date of Natsume’s game in development has been delayed from September 24, 2026 to October 15, 2026. The delay decision covers all announced versions for Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Such short delays are usually made for final touch-ups, balance adjustments, and performance improvements. Natsume has not yet disclosed a specific reason for the delay; however, the game’s simultaneous release on five different platforms can be interpreted as an effort by the team to optimize all versions equally. A three-week delay is not a big surprise, as it is a common period, especially for multiplatform games.
The Harvest Moon series has its origins in the original Bokujō Monogatari game released in Japan in 1996. Natsume, which brought the games to the West, later parted ways with Marvelous and XSEED’s Story of Seasons series. Natsume continued to carry the Harvest Moon brand, one of the pioneers of farming, ranching, and social simulation genres, under its own umbrella. The studio’s previous major title, Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos (2023), aimed to bring a breath of fresh air to the genre with its open-world structure.
Echoes of Teradea, on the other hand, stands out as a title that promises to carry this line forward. It is said that the game takes place in a new region called “Teradea” and combines the series’ classic farming, mining, fishing, and town life mechanics with a modern presentation. In particular, the announcement of the Switch 2 version is significant as it marks the series’ first step onto new-generation consoles. This is a development eagerly followed by both new players and longtime Harvest Moon players.
Players who have pre-ordered don’t need to take any extra action due to this delay. The new release date requires no changes other than players updating their calendars. In the coming weeks, Natsume is expected to share details about the delay and new footage from the game. If nothing goes wrong, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea will meet players on all platforms on October 15, 2026.
