HoYoverse Announces Nodusfall, a New Cooperative Action Game Inspired by Global Mythology

As part of Gamescom 2025, HoYoverse officially announced its new cooperative action game Nodusfall. According to the company's statement, the game is set in an original fantasy world inspired by global mythology. The reveal trailer showcased for the first time a universe where legends from different cultures intertwine.
Nodusfall stands out as one of HoYoverse's multiplayer-focused productions. The game is expected to feature cooperative mechanics promising an exploration- and combat-focused experience with friends. With this project, the studio aims to go beyond its single-player and gacha-focused games, creating a structure where player communities can spend time together.
HoYoverse is known as the global brand of China-based miHoYo, founded in 2012. The studio achieved massive success in the open-world RPG genre with Genshin Impact, released in 2020; it then proved its ambition in different genres with Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. Nodusfall is seen as one of the studio's most ambitious projects, marking its entry into the cooperative action genre with an entirely new IP.
The growing interest in global mythology-themed productions in the gaming world in recent years makes Nodusfall even more intriguing. When HoYoverse's expertise in visual quality and storytelling is combined with this new universe, it shows that the game will be an ambitious production both visually and narratively. So far, no official information has been shared about the game's release date and platforms; however, more gameplay footage and details are expected in the coming months.
