The Silent Hill Series Rises from the Ashes: Silent Hill f and Silent Hill 2 Remake Break Sales Records

Konami's legendary horror series Silent Hill has not only broken its long silence but has begun to dominate the market! According to the latest official reports, the highly anticipated new entry in the series, Silent Hill f, has reached 2 million sales worldwide, while the series' masterpiece, Silent Hill 2 Remake, has reached a massive player count of 6 million. For a series that was buried in silence for nearly a decade, these numbers prove just how magnificent the return of the foggy town really is.
Silent Hill f holds special significance, especially for fans of the anime and visual novel worlds. The game's story was penned by Ryukishi07, the brilliant mind behind cult works such as Higurashi: When They Cry and Umineko. Set in 1960s Japan in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka, the production takes the series out of its traditional foggy atmosphere for the first time, moving it into a flower-covered, psychologically deep nightmare. Having surpassed the 2 million mark since its release in September 2025, the game, developed by NeoBards Entertainment, has managed to become one of the fastest-selling spin-off projects in the series.
On the other hand, Silent Hill 2 Remake, developed by Bloober Team, has proven its worth by surpassing the 6 million mark, blending the spirit of the 2001 original classic with modern technology. Released in October 2024 and focusing on James Sunderland's melancholic journey, the production maintained its sales momentum, particularly with its 2025 Xbox release and its addition to the PlayStation Plus Extra library. This success has pushed the series' total sales figures over 13 million, with Silent Hill 2 Remake alone accounting for approximately 25% of all series sales.
