Over 1,500 Kodansha Manga Titles Added to GlobalComix Library: Major Names Now in the Subscription System!

The digital comic world continues to shift. Popular platform GlobalComix has taken a giant step that excites manga fans with its latest announcement. Expanding its collaboration with publishing giant Kodansha, the platform announced that it has added over 1,500 new manga titles to the GlobalComix Gold subscription library. This update, which went into effect as of April 7, allows subscribers to access a massive archive without paying any additional fees.
The added series include not only niche works but also phenomena with millions of fans worldwide. Now, GlobalComix subscribers will be able to legally read masterpieces such as Attack on Titan, Tokyo Revengers, Fairy Tail, Blue Lock, and The Seven Deadly Sins in a digital environment. Additionally, series that have received full marks from critics and made a splash with their anime adaptations, such as Ghost in the Shell, Parasyte, Vinland Saga, and Your Lie in April, have also taken their place in the library. This move strengthens Kodansha's presence in the digital world while offering fans an affordable and comprehensive solution.
It is a notable detail that there has been no change in subscription fees despite this massive increase in content offered by the platform. GlobalComix Gold membership continues to be offered at a competitive price of $6.99 per month or $69 per year. In his statement regarding this partnership, the platform's Head of Business Development Eric Tapper emphasized the platform's focus on user experience, saying, "Kodansha is one of the most important publishers in the manga world, and this moment perfectly reflects the purpose for which GlobalComix was built. Readers can come for Attack on Titan, discover another series they never expected, and access them all from one place."
Beyond being just a manga reading site, GlobalComix has turned into a massive ecosystem consisting of over 300,000 pieces of content through partnerships with giants such as DC Comics, Image, Dark Horse, and IDW. Thanks to the platform's "creator-first" approach, up to 70% of subscription revenue is transferred directly to creators and publishers. This makes GlobalComix a very attractive option for manga enthusiasts looking for a legal and ethical alternative to piracy. More "day-and-date" (digital release on the same day as physical print) content is expected to be added to the platform in the coming period.
