A New Breath in Isekai: "Reincarnated as a Farmer, I'm Not Aiming to Be a Hero" Becomes a Manga

The first volume of the manga adaptation of the series "Se-kkaku Nōka ni Tensei Shita no de Yūsha wa Mezashimasen" (Reincarnated as a Farmer, I'm Not Aiming to Be a Hero), which brings an unconventional perspective to the isekai genre, was released on June 10 under KADOKAWA's Dengeki Comics NEXT imprint.
The original story was published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, one of Japan's largest user-generated novel platforms, and quickly garnered great interest. Author Tsukinomi Kasuke breaks the classic 'become a hero and save the world' mold, focusing on a man reincarnated as an ordinary villager who builds a peaceful life by farming.
The artist behind the manga, Matsuoka Yoshinori, is an illustrator who has previously worked on various light novel and manga projects. According to the publisher, the series' core message is 'building your own happiness instead of pursuing power.' This philosophy offers a refreshing alternative, especially for readers tired of battle- and adventure-focused isekai in recent years.
The first volume is printed at 164 pages and includes an extra side story. Currently, the series is only available in Japanese; however, given that almost all popular Narou novels are eventually translated into English and other languages, it is likely to be licensed by an international publisher in the near future.
Interest in such 'peaceful isekai' works is steadily increasing. The success of similar themed series like 'Farming Life in Another World' or 'Isekai Nonbiri Nouka' suggests that 'Se-kkaku Nōka...' could reach a broad readership. No announcement has been made yet for the second volume of the manga, but sources indicate that the author and artist are steadily progressing the story.
In summary: If you want to see an isekai hero who says, 'For once, I want to find peace by growing tomatoes in the field without being a hero,' this manga is for you.
