Suenobu Keiko's Horror-Thriller Manga 'Ochitara Owari' Becomes Live-Action Series: Main Visual and New Cast Announced

Suenobu Keiko's creepy manga "Ochitara Owari" (If You Fall, It's Over) is now being turned into a live-action series. The project's main visual, six additional cast members, and a 60-second teaser trailer were shared today via Japanese news site Natalie.
In addition to the previously announced lead cast, Ikeda Naoto (member of comedy group Rainbow) will play the husband. The teaser highlights tense scenes and the dangerous dynamic between characters. The main visual reflects the protagonist's solitary and threatened state.
The manga is written and illustrated by Suenobu Keiko. The author is previously known for psychological thriller works such as "Life" (2002-2009) and "Limit" (2009-2011). "Ochitara Owari" first began in 2023 in Bessatsu Friend magazine and tells the story of a young woman being drawn into a dark trap by the man she loves. The story explores themes of social pressure and toxic relationships.
This adaptation will be the third live-action project of Suenobu's works ("Life" became a series in 2007, "Limit" a film in 2013). The series' release date has not been announced yet, but the release of the teaser and visuals indicates production is progressing. Fans are eagerly awaiting how the tense atmosphere of the manga will be translated to the screen.
