Toyotaro Draws Old Goku at 100th Dragon Ball Drawing Project Milestone

Toyotaro has once again shown his dedication to the Dragon Ball universe. The official manga artist drew Old Goku as the 100th piece of his personal drawing project. This special illustration marks a significant milestone in the drawing series that Toyotaro began and has been regularly publishing over the past few years.
In the drawing, Goku appears in his familiar orange gi, with white hair, a wrinkled face, and a wise gaze. Toyotaro seems to have added his own interpretation to the 'old Goku' concept that Akira Toriyama also explored in Dragon Ball GT. However, Toyotaro's version carries a more peaceful wisdom and a sincere smile.
As a reminder, Toyotaro has been overseeing the Dragon Ball Super manga since 2015 and is an apprentice personally selected by Toriyama himself. The duo also worked together on the films Dragon Ball Super: Broly and Super Hero. Toyotaro's special drawing project began in January 2022, with a new illustration released every month. Reaching the 100th piece demonstrates the project's consistency and the strong bond Toyotaro has built with his fan base.
Fans enthusiastically received the old Goku drawing on social media. Many are questioning whether this illustration hints at a future time skip for the Dragon Ball series or a side story similar to GT. Toyotaro, however, has stated so far that the project is independent and not connected to any new anime or manga project. Nevertheless, such special drawings showcase the mangaka's passion for Dragon Ball and his creative vision.
In the coming days, fans are eagerly awaiting what Toyotaro will do for the 101st drawing of his project. Additionally, it remains unclear whether the Dragon Ball Super manga will transition to a new arc. But one thing is certain: with both his manga and these regular drawings, Toyotaro continues to be one of the most important living representatives of the Dragon Ball universe.
