Ize Press Announces Solo Leveling Ragnarok, Whale Star, and Spanish Solo Leveling Editions at Anime NYC
Ize Press made significant announcements concerning the manhwa world at Anime NYC 2026. The publisher announced that it will release the English edition of the Solo Leveling Ragnarok novel. At the same panel, it was announced that the original Solo Leveling series' comic, novel, and audiobook will be published in Spanish. Additionally, the manhwa Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid will also meet readers under the Ize Press label.
Solo Leveling Ragnarok is a sequel story set in Chugong's globally successful Solo Leveling universe. The series focuses on the adventures of Sung Suho, the son of the original hero Sung Jinwoo. Ize Press is a brand established by Yen Press in 2022 to publish Korean manhwa and webtoons. The publisher, which previously brought Solo Leveling's manhwa and novel into English, will now deliver the series' sequel novel to readers in English.
Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid is a historical manhwa by Na Yoonhee. The story follows the life of Su-a, who plays a mermaid at a circus in Gyeongseong (today's Seoul) under Japanese occupation in 1926. The work stands out for its references to Andersen's The Little Mermaid fairy tale and its narrative that addresses the social fabric of the era. With this printed English edition, Ize Press will give Whale Star a place on physical manhwa shelves.
The Spanish editions also show that Ize Press is not focusing solely on the English market.
