Moving Season 2: New Actor Cast for the Character Bong-seok!

As Disney+'s globally acclaimed webtoon adaptation Moving continues its preparations for the second season at full speed, news of a cast change has surprised fans. Jung-ha Lee, who brought the pure-hearted Kim Bong-seok, a character with the ability to fly, to life in the first season and received great acclaim for his performance, will not be appearing in the new season. The actor's enlistment in the South Korean Marine Corps on January 26, 2026, for his mandatory military service, where he will serve until July 2027, forced the production team to search for a replacement. The name chosen to fill this void is rising star Gyu-bin Won (Won Gyu-bin).
Born in 2004, rookie actor Gyu-bin Won previously drew attention with his performance in the series Bitch X Rich 2 (Cheongdam International High School 2). According to industry reports, Won participated in a script reading session with a team of approximately 150 people and has joined the story as the new Bong-seok. Although Disney+ and the actor's agency have not yet officially confirmed the news due to the strict confidentiality rules of global platforms, industry sources state that this change is finalized. How Won will interpret the character's iconic innocence and superpowers is already a subject of curiosity.
Moving is adapted from the work of the same name by legendary webtoon writer Kang Full, and its first season, released in 2023, earned the title of Disney+'s most-watched original Korean series. With a massive budget of $40 million and a cast featuring stars like Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, and Zo In-sung, the series captured hearts by offering not just a superhero story, but also a deep family drama. As Kang Full continues to work personally on the script for the second season, he has announced that the universe will expand with new characters and a broader narrative.
The second season of the series is targeted to enter production in 2025 and meet the audience in 2027. The open-ended points in the first season's finale and the connections to Kang Full's other webtoons, such as "Bridge" and "Hidden," indicate that a much larger conflict awaits us in the new season. While the absence of Jung-ha Lee is sad for fans, the addition of fresh blood like Gyu-bin Won to the series is considered an exciting development for the future of the Moving universe.
