Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Game Delayed to 2028

Com2uS has delayed the release date of the game set in the popular Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint universe from 2027 to 2028. According to Anime News Network, the company first announced the project in March 2025 with a 2027 target. With a new statement on August 13, 2026, that target was pushed back by another year.
The series is based on the web novel of the same name written by author sing N song and published between 2018 and 2020. The story follows Kim Dokja’s struggle to survive when the events of a web novel he has been reading for years become reality. The manhwa adaptation published on the WEBTOON platform after the novel brought the series to a global fanbase. Therefore, the game’s delay is of concern not only to gamers but also to a large community of readers.
South Korea-based Com2uS, known for the Summoners War series, has not yet fully shared platform and genre details for the game. Still, the project appears to be planned as a high-budget production commensurate with the series’ global popularity. The delay may disappoint fans, but in the long run, it could serve the goal of delivering a higher-quality gaming experience.
In the coming period, Com2uS is expected to share new trailers, gameplay footage, and a clearer release window. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint fans will have to wait until 2028 to see their beloved characters and atmosphere in the game world.
