Ice Lamp - The Chronicles of Kira

Orphaned and left to fend for herself in a ruthless empire, young Kira realizes that her only chance at survival lies in shedding her identity as a girl. Raised as a boy by her late mother, she faces a terrifying reality as puberty threatens to expose her secret. In a moment of desperation, Kira makes a life-altering pact with a transcendent entity named Maharita: in exchange for a flawless male voice, she accepts a heavy supernatural burden. This bargain allows her to enter the service of a prestigious Grand Duke, stepping onto a path that will transform her from a lowly commoner into a respected knight leading men into battle.

However, Kira's rise to power is far from a fairy tale. She soon discovers that she is merely a disposable piece on a chessboard controlled by powerful noble families and the Emperor himself. As she navigates court intrigue, war, and the complexities of her own heart—including bonds with figures like the charismatic Hartnell—Kira must constantly guard the truth of her gender. With her fate seemingly written by others, she fights not just for her life, but for the freedom to define who she truly is in a world that refuses to accept her.
