Blue Lock Live-Action Film Cast Expands: Ikki Niko and Hibiki Ohkawa Take the Field

Exciting news continues to emerge regarding the live-action film adaptation of the global phenomenon football manga series Blue Lock. According to an announcement on the film's official social media accounts, the actors who will portray beloved characters Ikki Niko and Hibiki Ohkawa have been confirmed. Sōshō Tomimoto will appear as Team Y's strategic genius Ikki Niko, while Keisuke Kida will bring the team's goalscorer Hibiki Ohkawa to life.
The casting choices have been met with great curiosity among fans. In particular, 23-year-old Sōshō Tomimoto's eight-year background in real-life football raises expectations that he will successfully reflect Ikki Niko's technical moves on the pitch. On the other hand, the performance of 33-year-old experienced actor Keisuke Kida (Fermat's Cuisine) in the role of Ohkawa, one of Team Y's leading figures, is already a subject of interest. With the addition of this duo, the film's main cast has gained even more depth.
Scheduled to hit theaters in Japan on August 7, 2026, the film features a star-studded cast. As previously announced, Fumiya Takahashi will play the lead role of Yoichi Isagi, while master actor Masataka Kubota will take on the role of Jinpachi Ego. Additionally, K from the group &TEAM will appear as the genius player Seishiro Nagi. Produced by Credeus and CK Works, the film aims to bring the tense and competitive atmosphere of the manga's early chapters to the big screen.
