Crunchyroll Announces Good News: Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy and Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3 Are Coming with English Dubs

Crunchyroll made a bombshell entry into the weekend by sharing the English dub details for two popular anime series. According to the official announcement, Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy and Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3 (Honzuki no Gekokujou) will meet viewers with their dubbed episodes starting this Saturday. Both productions have already excited both new viewers and fans who want to re-experience the series with English voice acting.
Adapted from the highly acclaimed manga written by Nonco, Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy follows the funny and romantic events that unfold when Kanan, a high-ranking demon, falls in love with a high school student. Serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine, this production is seen as a breath of fresh air in the anime world. The experienced names in the English voice cast and the production team aim to convey the series' unique humor and character dynamics to Western audiences as naturally as possible.
On the other hand, Ascendance of a Bookworm, considered one of the most unique and beloved examples of the isekai genre, returns with its third part, which focuses on our main character Myne's struggle to access books and establish a printing press. Adapted from Miya Kazuki's light novel series and brought to life by the Ajia-do studio, the production is known for its deep world-building. In this new part of the series, Myne's position in the world of nobles and her dream of building a library are taken to a much more critical dimension.
Crunchyroll's near-simultaneous dubbing (simuldub) strategy is of great importance to the global anime community. This move brings together not only viewers in English-speaking countries but also a large audience that enjoys following dubbed content on the platform. With this new broadcast period starting on April 18, 2026, both series are expected to receive high engagement on social media and climb to the top of viewership charts.
