First Original Art Exhibition for Yu-Gi-Oh! Creator Kazuki Takahashi to be Held in Tokyo in Winter 2026

The first original art exhibition honoring the works of the late artist Kazuki Takahashi, the genius behind the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" universe, titled "高橋和希原画展 YU-GI-OH! ART WORKS", is set to open its doors in Tokyo in winter 2026. This historic event not only celebrates Takahashi's artistic legacy but also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the start of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga series.
Born in Tokyo on October 4, 1961, Kazuki Takahashi began his career as a manga artist in 1982 and achieved his breakthrough with "Yu-Gi-Oh!" in 1996. Tragically, he heroically lost his life on July 4, 2022, while attempting to rescue people caught in a rip current off the coast of Okinawa. This exhibition will once again showcase the indelible mark he left on the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.
Yu-Gi-Oh! began as a manga serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1996 to 2004. Initially focusing on various games, the series shifted its focus to the card game called "Duel Monsters" due to intense fan interest and quickly became a global phenomenon. The manga expanded into a vast media franchise with anime series, films, video games, and the world's best-selling trading card game (TCG), the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, reaching a value of approximately 20 billion dollars.
The "高橋和希原画展 YU-GI-OH! ART WORKS" exhibition will present a large volume of Takahashi's valuable original drawings, production materials from the concept stage, and draft sketches of characters and monsters. Along with the announcement of the event, iconic voice actors from the series, such as Shunsuke Kazama, who voiced Yugi Mutou, and Kenjiro Tsuda, who voiced Seto Kaiba, also
