The main trailer for the series' highly anticipated 3DCG animated film, Love Live! Hasunosora Jogakuin School Idol Club: Bloom Garden Party, has finally been shared with fans. Set to premiere in Japan on May 8, 2026, the film focuses on the club members' final performances of the 103rd school year and the bittersweet joy brought by the approaching graduation.
The newly released trailer introduces two new characters who bring a fresh perspective to the story: Maika Kinjo and Aoi Reisawa. These two characters appear as cameramen tasked with documenting the club's major event, the "Bloom Garden Party." Throughout the trailer, we witness those magical moments where the dreams Kaho Hinoshita and her friends have chased for a year finally come true. The final scenes before graduation for the 102nd-term members, Kozue Otomune, Tsuzuri Yugiri, and Megumi Fujishima, promise to be particularly emotional for fans.
The film's technical staff also consists of highly acclaimed names. Go Kurosaki sits in the director's chair, while the screenplay is penned by Fumiaki Maruto, known for the Saekano series. The character designs bear the signature of Haruko Iizuka, known for works such as Horimiya and Little Busters!. Additionally, it was announced that the first round of gifts for theatergoers will be an illustration board specially drawn by Iizuka. Animation production is being handled by the Sublimation studio, which oversees the series' 3D visuals.
The Hasunosora project first entered our lives in April 2023 with the Link! Like! Love Live! mobile app. Set against the historical backdrop of Kanazawa city, the story distinguishes itself from other Love Live! series with its real-time narrative. While this film serves as the finale to the project's first major story arc, the journey does not end here for fans. According to the announcements, the series' television anime will meet viewers in January 2027. With the mobile app set to end its service in June 2026, this film becomes the most critical turning point in the story's transition from digital to cinema.
