The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World Anime Begins in July: First Trailer and Details Released

Great news for fans of isekai and food-themed anime! The popular light novel series Suterare Seijo no Isekai Gohan Tabi: Kakure Skill de Camping Car o Shoukan Shimashita (The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World), written by Yoneori, is officially being adapted into an anime. According to the announcement, the series will begin airing in Japan in July 2026. The first released promotional video (PV) introduced fans to the atmosphere of the story and the voices of the main characters for the first time.
Our story begins with Rin Takanashi, a care worker in her thirties, being summoned to another world as a "Saintess." However, Rin is immediately cast aside by the prince, who deems her "inadequate" and "ordinary." What no one knows is that Rin possesses a secret ability: the power to summon a modern camping car! Using this ability and her survival skills, Rin sets out on a peaceful journey with her companions, exploring this new world while cooking delicious meals. In the series, Sora Tokui will voice the character Rin, while Yuki Ono will bring the character Vil to life.
The production team behind the anime features highly experienced names. The series is produced by studio EMT Squared, with Atsushi Nigorikawa sitting in the director's chair. The screenplay adaptation is handled by Takashi Aoshima, while character designs are entrusted to Izumi Ishii. Notably, the inclusion of Kana Utatane on the music side, known for her successful work on the Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill anime, stands out as a detail that will enhance the "gourmet" atmosphere of the series.
Suterare Seijo no Isekai Gohan Tabi first began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in 2019 and was subsequently published in light novel format with illustrations by Akane Nito. The series also has a popular manga adaptation illustrated by Nana Kogami. This "healing" (iyashikei) production seems to be a strong candidate for one of the most notable series this summer for fans who are tired of action-packed isekai stories and are looking for adventures focused more on camping, food, and exploration.
