Ace of the Diamond Manga to Be Released in English Omnibus Volumes by Nakama Press

According to a special report from Anime News Network, Nakama Press will publish Yuji Terajima's famous baseball manga Ace of the Diamond in English as 3-in-1 omnibus volumes. The first omnibus volume will hit shelves on March 23, 2027 and will collect the first three tankōbon volumes of the series.
Ace of the Diamond was published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 2006 to 2015; the story concluded in 2022 with Daiya no Ace Act II. The main series consists of 47 volumes, while the sequel series has 34 volumes. The manga follows left-handed pitcher Eijun Sawamura of the high school baseball team Seidou, his dream of reaching the national tournament, the rivalries that develop with his teammates, and his character growth on the field.
The fact that Terajima served as an assistant to Mitsuru Adachi during his career makes Ace of the Diamond's place in the sports manga genre even more significant. Drawing from Adachi's mastery of the baseball genre, Terajima crafted one of the most beloved high school sports stories of his generation. The anime adaptations by Madhouse were broadcast in three separate seasons starting in 2013, reaching a total of 178 episodes.
Nakama Press's move is great news, especially for readers who value physical manga collections. The 3-in-1 omnibus format is expected to make the long-running Ace of the Diamond series both more compact on shelves and more cost-accessible. The first omnibus is planned for release in spring 2027, while the release schedule for subsequent volumes may become clearer in the coming months.
