AlphaPolis Launches Printed Manga Publishing in North America with Three Series
AlphaPolis, one of Japan's leading digital publishers, is officially entering the printed manga market in North America. The company announced that it will begin English physical publishing with three manga series: The Great Cleric, By the Grace of the Gods, and Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill. This move adds a physical presence in North American bookstores alongside AlphaPolis's long-running digital manga distribution.
The three announced works are among the most popular examples of the isekai genre in recent years. The Great Cleric tells of an office worker's rebirth as a healer in another world; By the Grace of the Gods follows the adventures of a young hero tenderly embraced by the gods; Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill recounts the story of a hero who embarks on an unusual adventure with his cooking ability. The fact that all three series have anime adaptations seems likely to help readers more quickly embrace AlphaPolis's choice of these works as its first printed manga in North America.
Founded in 2008 and building a vast content pool from web novels to manga and light novels, AlphaPolis is known in Japan for its digital-focused publishing model. The company's English digital platform, Alpha Manga, already delivers translations of these series to readers.
