New Manga from Ameku M.D. Author Mikito Chinen: Prometheus Taisen

Mikito Chinen, known for the manga Ameku M.D., has embarked on a new adventure. The author's latest work, Prometheus Taisen, started publication in Japan on June 10, 2026. This new series focuses on science fiction and an epic battle, differing from Chinen's earlier medical mystery style.
Mikito Chinen gained a large fan base with Ameku M.D. (also known as Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte). This series featured a doctor solving mysteries using medical knowledge, and it garnered significant attention especially on the Shonen Jump+ platform. Chinen's new series Prometheus Taisen means 'Prometheus War' and points to a Greek mythology theme by its name. According to information from the first chapter, the manga tells the story of a young hero caught in the midst of a war that will determine humanity's fate.
The new manga also showcases the maturation of Chinen's art style. Detailed panels and dynamic battle scenes have received praise on social media from fans. The first chapter of Prometheus Taisen was released for free, and the series is planned to continue weekly. Chinen stated in a comment, “I’ve been carrying this story in my mind for years; I’m very happy to finally bring it to life.”
Although authors changing genres are common in the manga industry, Chinen's shift from medical mystery to science fiction is noteworthy. Fans of Ameku M.D. expect to see the author's character depth and narrative mastery in the new series. In the coming weeks, the series is expected to reach wider audiences both digitally and in print, and even a potential translation announcement is anticipated. If the first chapter continues with this momentum, Prometheus Taisen could be a new turning point in Chinen's career.
