Black Clover Manga Nears Its Finale: Three New Chapters Arriving on May 1st!

The big moment expected by Black Clover fans is finally approaching! The popular manga series, written by Yuki Tabata and reaching millions of readers worldwide, will return with three chapters at once in the Jump GIGA 2026 SPRING issue, to be published on May 1, 2026. The series, which will grace the cover of the magazine, is one step closer to completing its story with this special update announced as the "serialization climax."
As you may recall, Black Clover bid farewell to its weekly publication in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2023 and transitioned to the quarterly Jump GIGA magazine. This strategic decision was made to protect the health of author Yuki Tabata, which had been affected by his intense work schedule, and to allow him to spend more time with his family. The transition from a weekly to a quarterly pace increased the page count of the chapters, allowing Tabata to draw the finale of the story in much greater detail and quality.
The series, which began in 2015 and follows the adventures of Asta, who has no magic power, and his genius rival Yuno on their path to becoming the Wizard King, is considered one of the most solid examples of the modern shonen genre. The ongoing and final arc of the series, the "Ultimate Wizard King" arc, determines the epic battle against Lucius Zogratis and the fate of the Clover Kingdom. Tabata has frequently stated in previous statements that he wants to end the series in a magnificent way that will satisfy the fans.
Although the total page count of the three chapters arriving on May 1st has not yet been clarified, the fact that they will be honored with the magazine's cover and lead color pages is an indication of how critical these chapters are for the flow of the story. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how many chapters after this triple release the series will officially end. We will see together whether Asta's dream of achieving the impossible and becoming the Wizard King will finally come true. Stay tuned for further updates!
