A Journey into the World of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo: A Major Exhibition to be Held in Tokyo and Osaka!

One of the most unusual and absurd works in the manga world, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, is returning with a new event that will pull fans away from reality and into the arms of pure nonsense. The major exhibition titled "Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo Exhibition: DIVE INTO THE BO-BOBO WORLD" will open its doors in Tokyo and Osaka in 2026 and 2027. In the first visual released for the event, we see the series' iconic hero Bo-bobo performing his famous "Waki-ge Shinken: Sparking" (Nose Hair Fist) move, which he used to defeat his enemy Hagen.
The exhibition is designed not just as an art gallery, but as a special training program that aims to turn visitors into "Hajikelists" (experts in nonsense). According to the fun description on the official website, this event aims to liberate the modern human spirit, which is chained by logic and correct answers. The series-specific nonsensical slogans like "Chitani! Chitani!" found on the site have already been enough to make fans feel that chaotic and joyful atmosphere of the old days.
Created by Yoshio Sawai, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo became a cult classic after being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between 2001 and 2007. Set in the year 300X, the story follows the struggle of Bo-bobo and his friends, who use their nose hairs as weapons against the Maruhage Empire, which tries to make people bald. Adapted into an anime by Toei Animation in 2003, the series has gained millions of fans worldwide since then and is considered one of the pinnacles of the absurd comedy genre.
The Tokyo leg of the exhibition will be held between September 30 and October 17, 2026, at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro.
