Boruto Manga Takes a One-Month Break

The Boruto manga, the sequel to Naruto, is going on a one-month break. According to Anime News Network, the series will go on sale in the November issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine on September 18, 2026. This means fans will wait a month for the new chapter.

The series continues with Masashi Kishimoto writing and Mikio Ikemoto drawing. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations started as a weekly series in 2016 and moved to the monthly V Jump magazine in 2019. In August 2023, the story entered a new era under the name Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Ukyo Kodachi wrote the script in the early years, while Kishimoto took over writing in November 2020.

This one-month break is seen as an opportunity for Kishimoto and Ikemoto to plan the upcoming parts of the story. Periodic breaks are becoming increasingly common in the manga industry, especially during intense production schedules. Even though Boruto is already published in a monthly magazine, waiting an extra month has been met with curiosity among fans.

Anime News Network summarized the announcement in its report, saying, “Manga returns in November issue that will ship on September 18.” So the new chapter will be on shelves with the November issue. Meanwhile, Boruto's anime adaptation ended in March 2023; the manga continues to be the main source of the story.

It is not yet known where the story will go in the next chapter. However, the Two Blue Vortex era is following a darker and more action-packed path. Fans will meet the new chapter on September 18.
