A Fresh Breath into the World of Cardfight!! Vanguard: Full Fighters Manga Begins!
The Cardfight!! Vanguard universe greets its fans with a brand new manga series. Debuting on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the May issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine, Cardfight!! Vanguard Full Fighters approaches the series' dynamics from a fresh perspective. Illustrated by Makoto Daienbō, who previously worked on the Cardfight!! Vanguard Skyride series, this new adventure appeals to both long-time fans and those just starting the series.
At the center of the manga are two new heroes whose personalities and playstyles are completely opposite: Asahi Hyūga and Yoru Getsudō. Asahi is an energetic character who enjoys playing games with others, makes friends easily, but isn't very good at studying. On the other hand, Yoru is a serious player who enjoys being alone and is an expert strategist at finding the shortest path to victory. Interestingly, both characters step into the world of Cardfight!! Vanguard with "zero knowledge," allowing readers to discover the rules and excitement of the game along with the characters.
This new manga move holds strategic importance as the franchise approaches its 15th anniversary. Created in 2010 by Akira Itō, Satoshi Nakamura, and Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani, Cardfight!! Vanguard has transformed into a massive multimedia empire over the years. Following the finale of the series' latest anime, Cardfight!! Vanguard DivineZ: Genma Seisen-hen, on April 11, all eyes are now on the sequel film set to be released on October 2, 2026, and the 15th-anniversary special anime in 2027.
