Chiikawa and PAPABUBBLE Collaboration: Cute Characters Transform into Art Candies

Chiikawa, one of Japan's biggest cultural phenomena in recent years, is joining forces with the world-renowned artisan candy brand PAPABUBBLE. This special collection, available in stores across Japan and on the official website as of May 8, 2026, transforms the series' beloved characters into handmade art candies. Priced at 980 Yen (approximately 200 TL), the "Chiikawa Candy BAG" offers an unmissable opportunity for both collectors and sweet enthusiasts.
As part of this special collaboration, the faces of the series' main characters, Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi, as well as Kurimanju, known for his gourmet personality, and the always energetic Ode characters, have been meticulously incorporated into the candies. Prepared under PAPABUBBLE's "Craft Candy Theater" concept, these candies showcase the brand's mastery once again by reflecting the characters' iconic expressions in a mere 1-centimeter cross-section. Each candy is flavored with special fruit aromas that embody the spirit of the characters.
Created by illustrator Nagano, Chiikawa (Nanka Chiisakute Kawaii Yatsu) began its journey as a web manga on X (formerly Twitter) in 2020. The fact that these seemingly extremely cute characters actually live in a "somewhat harsh" world where they have to work, take exams, and fight monsters has led the series to immense popularity among adults as well. The series, which became a global brand with its anime adaptation produced by Doga Kobo studio, will release Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island in the summer of 2026.
