Chilla's Art Horror Universe Expands: "The Night Shift" Manga Anthology Released

Chilla's Art, which has been taking the world of indie horror games by storm, is now bringing its eerie atmosphere to the panels. Released on May 15, 2026, The Night Shift: Chilla's Art Anthology Comic (夜勤事件 Chilla's Art アンソロジーコミック) collects five of the developer's most talked-about games in a single volume. Published under KADOKAWA's HOWL Comics label, this anthology presents the claustrophobic and unsettling vibe of the games through the interpretations of different artists.
The stories included in the anthology consist of popular titles that fans know well. The book features The Night Shift (Yakin Jiken), which tells the nightmare of a convenience store worker; the suspense-filled The Closing Shift (Heiten Jiken); Yuki Onna, which stands out with its mythological elements; the spine-chilling The Kidnap (Yuukai Jiken); and Stigmatized Property (Jiko Bukken). While a different artist was assigned to each story, names such as Mikura Akari, Sigma Memumemu, Hazuki Sen, Hirose Ayumu, and Wasai have successfully adapted the visual language of the games into manga format. The cover illustration of the book bears the signature of Gigigigagaga.
Chilla's Art is actually a very small team consisting of two brothers based in Japan. Since 2019, they have gained a cult status in a short time with the low-resolution, 90s VHS tape aesthetic games they have released on Steam. The team, which became popular worldwide especially thanks to VTubers and game streamers, has reached a total of over 60 million views on YouTube. Their games are generally short-lived and leave the player in uncertainty
