The CLAMP Legend Angelic Layer Returns with a New Edition!

The long-awaited day has arrived for fans of the legendary manga artist group CLAMP! The group's late 1990s hit, which blends technology and friendship, Angelic Layer, is meeting readers with a brand-new look. The first volume of this new edition, which is the eighth installment in the CLAMP Premium Collection (CPC) series published by KADOKAWA, hit shelves in Japan as of May 9th.
This new edition not only provides a sense of nostalgia but also offers priceless details for collectors. All cover illustrations for the series were redrawn by CLAMP specifically for this special edition. Furthermore, the color pages featured in the original Kadokawa Comics Ace edition are fully preserved in this new release. The series, which will consist of five volumes in total, is scheduled to be released one volume per month from May through September. Each volume is priced at 1,056 Yen (approximately 7 USD).
Angelic Layer follows the story of Misaki Suzuhara, a middle school student who has just moved to Tokyo, as she gets involved in a popular game where dolls called "Angels," controlled by the power of the mind, fight each other. The bond between Misaki and her own Angel, Hikaru, forms the heart of the series. However, what makes this series truly special for CLAMP fans is its place within the famous "CLAMP Universe." Angelic Layer takes place in the same universe as the group's other cult work, Chobits, a few years prior. The fact that some characters and technologies from the series also appear in works such as Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and xxxHolic further increases the importance of this new edition.
The return of the series also marks the 2001
