The series' creator and artist, Muchimaro, has decided to take a short break from the manga to focus on their health. According to the official announcement made on May 15, 2026, the series will go on hiatus starting from the magazine's 24th issue.
Fortunately, this separation does not seem like it will last very long. The announcement stated that Muchimaro's health is currently improving and the series is planned to return with the 27th issue, which will be published on June 3, 2026. Given the intense work pace in the manga world, it has become a common occurrence in the industry for artists to take such short breaks to both maintain the quality of their work and prevent long-term health issues.
Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! has been highly successful since it began under Kodansha in 2022. The series, which won first place in the "Print Manga" category at the prestigious Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishou) in 2023, has surpassed 2 million copies sold worldwide.
