Japan's Experienced Teacher in Another World: New Manga 'Isekai Tensei shita Moto Kyoushi' Meets Readers

In the manga world, the isekai (transported to another world) genre continues to diversify by bringing different professional groups into fantasy universes every day. The newest representative of this trend, Isekai Tensei shita Moto Kyoushi, [Rinji Kyoushi] toshite Houkai shita Majutsu Gakuen o Sukuu (The Former Teacher Reincarnated in Another World Saves a Collapsed Magic Academy as a Substitute Teacher), began serialization on the popular digital platform Piccoma as of May 13th.
Our story follows a character who worked as a teacher in Japan and was passionate about his profession, only to be reborn in another world as the "Strongest Great Sage." However, instead of using his power solely to destroy monsters, our hero dedicates himself to saving a magic academy where the education system has completely collapsed and discipline is non-existent. Starting his duty as a "substitute teacher," our character uses his pedagogical knowledge and teaching experience from the modern world to re-discipline aspiring mages and restore the academy to its former glory.
The series is based on a popular light novel series written by Tajiri Yuu and published under the GA Bunko (SB Creative) label. The illustrations for the manga adaptation are handled by Mizumi Yusuke. Mizumi Yusuke's detailed and energetic drawings offer the reader a pleasant visual experience by balancing magic scenes with classroom interactions. Such "teaching fantasy" productions have gained a large fan base in recent years with examples like Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor.
This new series appeals not only to those looking for action but also to those interested in themes such as character development and the improvement of social structures.
