Grand Jump Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary: New One-Shot "Ikebukuro Fingers Love" by Sudou Yamashita and Haru Fujiwara

Shueisha's popular seinen magazine Grand Jump continues to celebrate its 15th anniversary at full speed! As part of these special celebrations, the second story of the "15th Anniversary Special One-Shot" series, Ikebukuro Fingers Love, was presented to readers in the 9th issue released on April 1st. This one-shot manga, which focuses on characters living on the fringes of modern life, draws attention with both its subject matter and its creative team.
The story takes place in the bustling Tokyo district of Ikebukuro and follows the struggles of a "virgin" and low-level content creator (streamer) trying to hold onto life. Ikebukuro Fingers Love handles the loneliness and sense of failure behind the glittering face of the digital world with a sincere tone. Writer Sudou Yamashita successfully reflects the raw and realistic narrative style he previously displayed in works such as Hiruyasumi, Mata Pink Salon ni Hashiridashiteita in this story as well.
The visual world of the manga is entrusted to the talented artist Haru Fujiwara (also known as Fujiwara HAL). Winner of the Grand Prize in the Youth Category at the 90th Chiba Tetsuya Awards, Fujiwara captures the emotional depth of the characters and the atmosphere of Ikebukuro with his unique style. This collaboration between the two perfectly aligns with Grand Jump's vision of "mature and free" storytelling that appeals to its adult readership.
Grand Jump magazine began its publication life in 2011 with the merger of Business Jump and Super Jump magazines. As one of the most important bastions of the seinen manga world for 15 years, the magazine will continue to publish special stories from industry giants and rising stars throughout this anniversary year. The first one-shot of the series was published in December 2025 by Nita Tatsuo and Nagayasu Takumi. It remains a matter of curiosity which surprise names will join this celebration in the coming issues.
