New Manga Announcement from Gyōmuyōmochi: "Mushagakuen" Starts in July

One of the beloved artists of the manga world, Gyōmuyōmochi, is returning with a new project that will excite fans. According to the official announcement in the June issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine, the artist is starting a new manga series titled Mushagakuen. This new work, which will be in the Japanese fantasy (Wafuu Fantasy) genre, will debut with its first chapter in the magazine's August issue, which will hit shelves in July.
The name Gyōmuyōmochi has been etched into memory, especially in recent years, with his successful works in the fantasy and isekai genres. The artist took on the manga adaptation of the Isekai de Cheat Skill o Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai o mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei o Kaeta (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too) series, which reached great popularity worldwide and made a splash with its anime adaptation. Having proven his worth with the detailed drawings and dynamic action scenes in this series, the artist is now preparing to blend traditional Japanese aesthetics with fantasy elements in his new project, Mushagakuen.
Although very limited information has been shared about the new series, an official X (Twitter) account for Mushagakuen was opened as of May 7, the date the project was announced. This signals that the series will not remain just a magazine publication but will be supported by a broad promotional strategy. It is known that the artist has also successfully illustrated Asa Rokushima's Tsuihō-themed works; this experience raises expectations for the new series' storytelling and visual depth quite high.
The release of Mushagakuen is a significant development for the fantasy genre in the manga industry.
