Three New Actors Join the Cast of Happy Kanako's Killer Life Season 2

Happy Kanako's Killer Life live-action series is expanding its cast with three new actors for its second season. According to Anime News Network, Hikaru Takahashi, Aoi Morikawa, and Sayu Suzukawa will play the assassin colleagues of the main character Kanako.
Adapted from Tsubasa Nunoura's manga of the same name, the series tells the story of Kanako, who appears to be an ordinary office worker during the day but secretly works as a professional assassin. The manga has been serialized in Comic Meteor since 2019; with its blend of dark comedy and action, it quickly gained a wide readership. The English edition of the series is published under the Denpa label. In the first season, which aired in 2025, Kanako was played by Moka Kamishiraishi.
The three actors joining the new season's cast will expand the story's assassination world. Details about the characters to be played by Hikaru Takahashi, Aoi Morikawa, and Sayu Suzukawa have not yet been announced; however, these names are expected to play important roles both in action scenes and in darkly humorous dialogues as Kanako's colleagues. In particular, Takahashi's performance in Kamen Rider Zi-O and Morikawa's breakout in the Kakegurui adaptation are increasing fans' interest in the new season.
Live-action adaptations have become an important industry segment in Japan that keeps manga fans engaged. Happy Kanako's Killer Life is also one of the standout productions in this field. The release date for season 2 has not been announced yet; however, this addition of three actors to the cast is interpreted as a sign that the new season will tell a broader story.
In the new season, the balance between Kanako's assassin identity and her office life seems likely to become even more complicated. Fans expect the new characters to shed light on Kanako's past and bring fresh energy to the story.
